For security purposes, members are required to verify their Australian issued Visa or Mastercard Credit and Debit cards before they can be used to purchase Gift Cards.
After you enter your card details and click save, a temporary pre-authorisation amount of between $0.01 and $2.99 will be shown on your card statement with the reference VERIFY AUTH, you’ll be asked to enter the value of the VERIFY AUTH amount in the Cashrewards Wallet. When verification is successful you will see the message “Card successfully authorised”.
The pre-authorisation amount is a temporary hold of funds, it is not a charge. When the verification is complete, the pre-authorisation amount showing on your card will be cancelled. If the card remains in an unverified state, the temporary hold will be released after approximately 10 days.
